In yesterday’s message of the day we spoke about HP’s ‘hard to believe’ printer deal for only $20. A 4-colour printer for twenty bucks!!! Just as a follow up, today I came across an article in Advertising Age commenting on HP’s “Happy Baby” TV spot – It features HP’s wireless printer – I personally like it, and it seems to have consumers smiling, and talking. Wal-Mart was offering the HP Deskjet 1050 All in one printer for $20 including Free shipping and the product got sold out quickly.
HP Deskjet 1050 comes with a full year warranty from HP and has been released only one week after Wal_mart was offering the Canon photo printer for $23.

I was reading the article about the new Google's Operating system that will be launched in 2011, The Google CEO mentioned that the Chrome OS will be released in 2011 and the Google branded hardware will be ready in December.

BCS research found that 79.2 per cent of social media-using survey respondents help friends or family members make decisions about product purchases, compared with 47.6 per cent of non-contributors.

Eileen Brown, the social media expert, commented that customers have become "the new marketers" who drive the conversation about our brands online.

"Having a social media plan in place helps businesses to effectively connect with their customers," she said.

It seems as though "Christmas" is winning out and "Holiday" doesn’t stand a chance.

While under pressure from consumers, retailers across the country have been embracing "Christmas", as opposed to "Holiday."

Dick’s Sporting Goods alleviated a boycott by changing their spirit and their website. Before they incorporated “Christmas” they were deemed the most anti-Christmas of all. Good for you Dick’s and Merry Christmas to all.
