Today I came across this new browser that has your world built in. You can chat, see your friend’s updates, share information and more, right from your browser, without leaving the current webpage you’re in, it’s really easy! RockMelt is built on Chromium, the open source project behind Google’s Chrome browser; try it and see what you think.

Impact of media value – Apple vs. Google (and other brands) –

 

With Internet and social media, millions of people are talking about brands through multiple channels like Blogs, Twitter, Facebook etc. Additional buzz can be created by a single consumer‘s product experience, and many other triggers, even scandals and sometimes these exposures count more than traditional advertising.

According to USA Today, engineers are putting the finishing touches on Google TV - with their sights set on the living room with their version of TV that includes the internet.

It’s expected in stores later this month so watch out for it. In the meantime you can take a tour of Google TV right here.

Historypin is a digital database of historic photos and stories from around the world. Partnered with Google, Historypin allows you to compare photos with their modern day location.

You can search images by place and by time, compare photos, read their stories, and even make your own. I think it's pretty cool, I'd encourage you to check it out.

Facebook vs. Google and Yahoo

 

According to the fresh data that comes from comScore it appears that Facebook is gaining ground on Google once again. The data indicates that time spent on Facebook was greater than time spent on Google sites for the fist time in history. And it appears that Yahoo is not doing so well as it continues to slide from the top.

Silicon Valley and the Internet facing lawsuit

 

Paul Allen, one of the co-founders of Microsoft is suing the top 11 tech companies, such as Apple, Google, Facebook and ebay.

He claims they have used his patents and technology he created a decade ago mostly for e-commerce sites.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the four patents named in the suit, include technology ideas such us pop-up stock quotes on a website, suggestions for related articles you might be interested in, based on what you’re currently reading and videos along the side of your screen.

Today is the anniversary of Frida Kahlo, apparently Google created a special logo in her honor...we would have loved to have seen it, but unfortunately we can't find it.
